From now on, when you buy any used electric car from Eccasion, you get a standard battery warranty. No extra costs, no hassle — just certainty about the most important component of your EV.
The Biggest Concern with Used Electric Cars: Battery Condition
Anyone considering a used electric car eventually runs into the same question: how good is the battery, really? And that's a fair question. The battery is by far the most expensive component of an electric vehicle, and it largely determines the resale value, the residual value, and the driving enjoyment.
Manufacturer data gives a general picture, but says nothing about the actual condition of the battery at the moment of purchase. That's why at Eccasion, we provide an Aviloo battery report as standard before your car is delivered.
Not All Battery Measurements Are Created Equal
For our battery measurements, we work together with Aviloo, the most reliable party in the market for battery diagnostics. Aviloo has the world's largest battery database and carries out measurements through the so-called AVILOO FLASH Test: an objective, data-driven measurement that determines the actual State of Health (SoH) of the battery. These reports show the battery's health at cell level, rather than just a general SOH value.
In this research video from Bright, you can see more about the big differences between the various tests.
What Exactly Does the Battery Warranty Cover?
Based on Aviloo's measurement, an individual SoH threshold is established for each vehicle. That threshold forms the basis of the battery warranty.
The process is fully automated and requires nothing extra from you as the buyer:
- Eccasion has the AVILOO FLASH Test performed on your used electric car.
- The system automatically checks whether the vehicle qualifies for the warranty.
- The battery warranty is automatically activated.
- The individual SoH threshold is recorded in the certificate.
- You receive the digital warranty certificate and the outcome of the SOH report before your Eccasion is delivered.
Should the battery unexpectedly degrade significantly during the warranty period, you can file a claim. A new AVILOO FLASH Test is then carried out. If the claim is approved, you receive €3,000.
What Are the Terms of the Battery Warranty?
When you buy from Eccasion, you get the Aviloo battery report and the corresponding battery warranty as standard. Here's what you get:
1 year or 20.000 kilometer of warranty - The battery warranty is valid for 1 year after purchase, or until the car has driven 20,000 kilometers — whichever comes first.
€ 3.000 fixed compensation - If the battery health (SoH) drops below the established threshold during the warranty period, you receive a fixed compensation of €3,000. No discussion, no hassle.
Second FLASH Test covered - If a warranty claim is filed, a second AVILOO FLASH Test is needed for verification. The cost of this is fully covered.
Digital warranty certificate - After the measurement, you receive an official digital warranty certificate: personal, vehicle-specific, and available immediately.
