The Kia e-Niro has been on the market since 2019 as a spacious, all-electric crossover with a strong reputation for reliability. There are two battery packs: a 39 kWh version (Standard Range) with a realistic range of about 230 kilometers, and a 64 kWh version (Long Range) that reaches 370-420 kilometers in practice. Most used models have the larger battery pack.
With the e-Niro, pay close attention to charging power: the first models (until June 2020) have 1-phase AC charging, which means full charging at a public charging station takes longer. From June 2020, this became 3-phase charging - quite a difference in daily practice.
The e-Niro is well equipped as standard, including adaptive cruise control, seat heating and a user-friendly infotainment system that includes physical buttons. The seating position is comfortable and the interior is practical, with plenty of storage space and a roomy rear seat.
As a used car, the Kia e-Niro remains one of the most reliable EVs on the market. It scores high on ease of use, range and serviceability. The design is a bit lackluster, but if you're looking for a functional, efficient and low-maintenance electric car, this is a very wise choice. Battery degradation is exceptionally good, in our experience. A model with mileage of 130,000 still has an SoH of about 97%.
At Eccasion, we pay close attention to payload and always check the charge specifications as well as maintenance history, so you know exactly what you're getting. Especially with the 3-phase charging and large battery pack, the e-Niro is a strong all-rounder for daily use.
